Apple Watch Series 1 (2016):

First Generation, also referred to as 0 series, is equipped with a built-in heart rate sensor, which uses both infrared and visible-light LEDs and Photodiodes. All watches of the first generation come with 8 GB of storage memory. You can store up to 2 GB of music and 75mb of photos.

Apple Watch Series 2 (2016):

The second generation also referred to as 2nd series, water-resistance up to 50 meters (for swimming)*. 2ND generation came with a dual-core processor with GPS features and various fitness and health capabilities. It had a bigger display and brighter colors than the 1st generation.

The launching price of 2nd generation was lower than 1st generation.

Apple Watch Series 3 (2016):

The third generation came with a faster dual-core processor and a Bluetooth 4.2(as compared to 4.0 in older versions). It came with a variant with LTE cellular connectivity while older variants didn’t support any cellular connectivity. It came with increased ram (768mb) and increased storage of 16gb, and the popular Siri could speak on watch 3 because of faster processing speeds

The fifth-generation was released on 20th September 2019; it came with an Always-On Feature. Faster Processing speed, more storage (32 GB),  larger display, and Retina display with vivid colors.
